All my model types and all my fans

To all my model types,
I encourage you to send me pictures of you looking your best. This blog has been designed to help me pursue my goal of being an established journalist in the wold of hiphop and sports. I would like nothing more, than to show off some real, down to earth women as my looks of the day, instead of putting up pictures of celebrity beauties that will never be seen in person. So if any of you feel like it, just send me your pictures and i will publish them. I am not trying to exploit you and I am not trying to use these pictures for anything other the previously stated purpose above. If you feel comfortable with this, I will be waiting to hear from you and if you dont feel comfortable, I would still like to thank you for taking the time to visit my page.
Sincerely,
Editor/owner of page, Demontre Mobley
Mary J. Blige sued

Hip-Hop Soul queen Mary J. Blige and rapper Jay-Z are at the center of a new federal lawsuit involving allegations of song theft.
According to the suit Jermaine Jumpp and Michael C. Adams, claim they gave a “compact disk” to the “office” of hitmaking producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, that contained a song called “On My Grind.”
The New Jersey pair further state that Blige’s single “Enough Cryin',” which was recorded four years later and produced by Jerkins, sounded very similar to “On My Grind.”
The new lawsuit comes months after Blige was hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit over her hit song “Work That.”
That song's owner, Drama Family Entertainment, filed its lawsuit against Blige in August, claiming the songstress used "Work That" without its permission.
Music for the single was allegedly written by producer Theron “Neff-U” Feemster.
Despite Blige being prominently named in Jumpp and Adams’ lawsuit, TMZ.com reports that Jay-Z’s role in the situation is unclear in the suit.

Killer of T.I.'s best friend, sentenced to 66 years in prison

Hosea Thomas was sentenced today (December 23) to 66 years in prison for the murder of Philant Johnson, best friend and assistant to Atlanta superstar T.I.
In May 2006, assailants stalked T.I.’s entourage following an after-hours party at the Club Ritz, located in the Roselawn section of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Along highway I-75 the rapper’s entourage was fired upon, fatally wounding Johnson and injuring several others.
In June, Hosea and his brother Padron Thomas were arrested and charged with murder and felonious assault. Padron Thomas agreed to a deal with the police, and became the key witness against his brother. Based on the details tha were provided by Padron Thomas, the police were able to ascertain key facts related to the case. Padron Thomas later identified his brother as the triggerman.
According to police, the shooting stemmed from several incidents involving the brothers and T.I.’s entourage at the Club Ritz.
First, the Thomas brothers were allegedly barred from entering T.I.’s VIP area that night, and an ensuing scuffle resulted in one of them being struck with a bottle.
Later, the Thomas brothers allegedly became more enraged once T.I. began throwing money into the crowd during his performance.
During the trial, T.I. assisted prosecutors by testifying about his recollections of the deadly shooting.
Since the murder, the Atlanta star has spoken often about how losing his best friend to violence caused him to reevaluate his life and the messages he conveyed in his music.
Along with the murder conviction, Hosea Thomas was found guilty last month of felonious assault and illegally having a gun after a felony conviction.
Previously, Thomas was convicted of drug possession and trafficking.
His brother Padron, who at press time has not been sentenced, is a listed sex offender with convictions on robbery and rape charges.
Additionally, Padron was charged with tampering with evidence pertaining to the Johnson murder.
He remains in the custody of US Marshals for an unrelated drug case.

Barack Obama wins Time Magazine Man of the Year...

President elect Barack Obama, topped off this great year, by winning Time Magazine's Man of the Year Award. The President was also named Man of the Year by GQ Magazine. "For having the confidence to sketch an ambitious future in a gloomy hour, and for showing the competence that makes Americans hopeful he might pull it off, the president-elect is TIME's Person of the Year," the newsweekly said. Obama, who is to be sworn in on January 20 as the 44th president of the United States and the first African-American chief executive, said long-term priorities include nuclear proliferation and climate change.
"I think dealing with development and poverty around the world is going to be a critical component of our foreign policy," he added. "It's good for our security and not just charity."

Holyfield loses controversial championship bout in Russia

Nikolai Valuev likely ended Evander Holyfield’s last chance at winning a fifth heavyweight title, narrowly defending his WBA title by majority decision on Saturday night.
The 46-year-old American, attempting to become the oldest heavyweight to win a major belt, started the fight by moving around the ring to neutralize Valuev’s long reach advantage.
The 7-foot Russian, the tallest and heaviest champion ever, struggled to close down Holyfield early but began asserting his jab as Holyfield tired. There was much booing, because surprisingly, many felt that Holyfield won the fight.
One judged scored the bout a draw, while the others had Valuev winning 116-112 and 115-114.
“Of course I am disappointed,” Holyfield said. “I thought I had done enough to get the win. Now I have to go home and think about my future.”
Holyfield (42-10-2) had not fought since losing a one-sided decision to then-WBO champion Sultan Ibragimov over a year ago, and was much criticized for this latest comeback attempt. Some critics suggested he was putting his health at risk by fighting at such an advanced age.
Still, the “Real Deal” appeared in great shape for the fight and was never seriously hurt by Valuev (51-1), who has avoided the top heavyweights and did little to improve his standing in the division. He was vulnerable to Holyfield’s right hooks, many of which landed, even if the Russian also was never stunned.
“He made me work very hard for the win,” said Valuev, the overwhelming favorite and underwhelming winner. “Holyfield was unbelievable with his speed. The fight was fought at a great tempo for the whole 12 rounds.”
Later rounds were largely uneventful, with the Atlanta native dancing and looking for the rare opportunity to attack in combinations. The Russian, who carried a weight advantage of almost 100 pounds, planted himself in the center of the ring and rarely unleashed power punches.
“His hands are not as slow as everyone thinks they are,” Holyfield said.
For Valuev, it was the biggest win on a weak resume. He has so far refused to fight either of the Klitschko brothers, who hold the other major belts and are considered the top two heavyweights in the world.
Holyfield has refused to say if he would retire should he lose or draw against Valuev. Struggling with financial problems, Holyfield may try to use the better-than-expected result to score a big payday against another champion or Riddick Bowe, who has recently made a similarly worrisome comeback.
Holyfield won one of three epic battles against Bowe in the 1990s, when he beat Buster Douglas, George Foreman and Mike Tyson twice to become a dominating figure in the sport.
This fight was put on in front of 12,500 largely pro-Holyfield fans in Zurich’s Hallenstadion. Holyfield entered to a standing ovation, wearing a red robe fit for a king.
Valuev was booed, and there were even scattered whistles while the Russian national anthem played. The fans similarly showed their displeasure when the judges’ scorecards were read.

Lil Wayne named MTV "Man of the Year"

Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. is no longer just your favorite rapper's favorite rapper. In fact, considering the way he's been carrying around a guitar lately, you could be forgiven for wondering if he event wants to be a rapper anymore. But the fact remains that for 12 long months, no one dominated hip-hop like Wayne did. No one sold more records, generated more headlines or appeared on as many tracks. No one flooded the market with as much product, and — in a genre loaded with compelling characters — no one was as mercurial, controversial, hilarious and, well, bizarre as Weezy was.
Not to mention, when you move 1 million copies of an album in one week, it's pretty safe to say you've crossed over to the mainstream. Wayne most definitely was hip-hop in 2008, but he was pop culture too.
So considering all that — and after sifting through a year's worth of headlines, videos and reader comments — we've decided to crown Lil Wayne as MTV News' Man of the Year. From his epic Arizona drug bust in January to selling a million copies of Tha Carter III in June and, finally, nabbing eight Grammy nods in December, '08 has been anything but dull for Wayne ... and that's just skimming the surface. Below, for your perusal, we've compiled his entire 2008 résumé — a list of accomplishments truly befitting our Man of the Year.

2008 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Rolled into '08 with the "Hottest MC in the Game" championship belt over his shoulder ... Promised his long-awaited Carter III album would be coming this year and touted the long list of cameos he recorded by dubbing himself "Featuring Lil Wayne" ... Arrested in Arizona when his tour bus is pulled over by border patrol agents who perform the aforementioned bust ... Facing felony drug and weapons charges, he pleads not guilty. The case is still pending ... Attempted to reunite the Hot Boyz at a concert during the NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, but the event was canceled at the last minute due to shootings outside the venue ... Visited his old secondary school, promising Tha Carter would drop "in April" and being asked to the prom by a girl named Julie ... Showed up three hours late for a concert in New Jersey, did not apologize, ended show by donning a bathrobe, shouting "sexual f---ing chocolate has left the building, bi---" ... Discussed his drank of choice, syrup ... "Lollipop," the first single from Carter III, tops the Billboard Hot 100 ... Premiered the now-iconic Carter III cover, featuring a photo of him as a baby, complete with a pinkie ring and digitally added tattoos ... Refused to freak out when the album leaked two weeks early ... "Elated" when Carter III defies industry expectations and sells 1 million copies in a single week, the first album to do so since 50 Cent's The Massacre in 2005 ... Congratulated by 50, Kanye West and a host of others after accomplishing the feat ... Played a "modern-day Robin Hood" in the "Got Money" video ... Performed "A Milli" on the premiere of "FNMTV," smelled like "a mixture of stubbed-out Phillies Blunts and a gallon of cough syrup," proved that he possessed extrasensory perception like "the 'hood Yoda" ... Lost his pants during his performance at the Video Music Awards ... Hopped a plane immediately following the VMAs to make a court date in New York City ... Prepped Dedication 3 mixtape and Tha Carter IV ... Appeared on Fall Out Boy's Folie à Deux ... Appeared on Kanye West's 808s & Heartbreak ... Named MVP at the BET Hip-Hop Awards ... Announced plans to reissue Carter III, only with completely different songs ... Shared the stage with Jay-Z but did not actually perform with him ... Described the birth of his son as "nasty, but wonderful" ... Strapped on a guitar to back up Kid Rock at the CMA Awards, only vaguely playing said guitar ... Plotted I Am Music Tour with T-Pain, Gym Class Heroes and Keyshia Cole ... Nominated for eight Grammy Awards, more than any other artist ... "A Milli" is named "Best Song of 2008" in MTV's Bigger Than the Sound column ... "A Milli" is named "Hip-Hop Single of the Year" by our Mixtape Monday family ...Tha Carter III is named one of the "Best Albums of 2008" ... Seriously, he did all of that in 366 days — any doubts he's our Man of the Year?

Ice Cube and Lebron James link up for new tv show

Legendary rapper Ice Cube and basketball phenom Lebron James have reportedly joined forces for the development of a one-hour drama for ABC.
According to The Plain Dealer, The series, described as “Friday Night Lights-meets-Entourage,” will follow an inner-city 15 year-old prep star who is transplanted to a small town school and forced to come of age while dealing with media pressure, unscrupulous moneymen and the jealousy of his peers.
The pilot script is expected in the coming weeks and, if the network approves, production on the pilot could begin in the spring for a fall ‘09 premiere. CubeVision and James’s newly formed entertainment entity Spring Hill Productions will oversee for the network, while James and Cube will serve as co-creators and executive producers.
For Ice Cube, it’s his third television project. In 2006, he produced a FX reality show called “Black.White,” and has signed on as an executive producer for an upcoming cop comedy series for NBC.

Personally, I am going to have to see where this goes, because I have never heard of anything in Lebron's childhood, that can be the basis for a good shot. On the other hand, we will reserve all judgements about Cube, because if anybody can make something small into a hit, it is him. Good luck fellas......

Soulja Boy apologizes.......

The 18-year-old rapper became a sensation and started a dance craze last year with his Grammy-nominated hit "Crank That (Soulja Boy)."
Rapper Soulja Boy is interviewed in New York on Monday Dec. 15, 2008. (AP Photo)
Some of the language and subject matter in that hit was risque, and on some of his YouTube videos, he's used some naughty words.
So in an interview this week, Soulja Boy apologized to parents and says he is going to try harder to set a positive example for his young fans.
"Over the past few months, I've had a chance to meet a lot of my fans face to face and it made me realize that I got a large fan base of kids that look up to me," he said. "I have a greater responsibility to the kids that want to be like Soulja Boy (and) I need set a positive example for them."
Though Soulja Boy apologizes for his public behavior, he's not quite ready to become the ideal role model for kids.
"I wouldn't say a role model because I think parents or a guardian should be a kid's main role model, but from now on, I'm going to make sure that every kid that looks up to me will get a positive image that the kids and parents can trust," he said.
Soula Boy just released his new CD, "iSouljaBoyTellem," this week.
Personally, people need to leave the kid alone. Whether you are a fan of his music or not(and for the record, I am not), you have to respect his hustle. No matter how much of a role model you are, you have to look yourself in the mirror everyday, and no one wants to be disrespected.Rapper Soulja Boy is interviewed in New York on Monday Dec. 15, 2008. Banned NBA star buys ticket and attends game of former team

Stephon Marbury, banned from the Knicks until a resolution is reached, attended their game last night.Marbury, in town to attend to his residence there and conduct some business, bought a ticket for the Knicks-Lakers game and had a baseline, courtside seat near film director Spike Lee.According to the reports in the New York media, Marbury did more talking on his cell phone than he did observing the game, which the Lakers won 116-114.
At halftime, Marbury spoke with a group of reporters. Knicks players rolled their eyes at the notion that he was there, and one team official told the New York Daily News: "This is exactly why we sent him away in the first place."
"I didn't create this, this is all their doing," Marbury said of his status as a non-player with the Knicks despite being under contract for more than $21 million. "I'm still earning my check by doing nothing. I'm staying in shape. My mind-set is to enjoy my life."
Team president Donnie Walsh suspended Marbury for one game without pay and docked him an additional game's salary after the Knicks said Marbury refused coach Mike D'Antoni's request to play in Detroit on Nov. 26 -- Marbury's second refusal in as many weeks.
Walsh and Marbury subsequently met to discuss buyout options, but Marbury didn't like what he heard, and walked out of the meeting in less than half an hour. Walsh directed Marbury not to attend Knicks practices or games while the sides continued to work toward a buyout.
D'Antoni said Tuesday night that Marbury's presence was not a violation of Walsh's directive.
"That's fine," D'Antoni said. "About 19,000 people are going to be there tonight, so if he wants to see a good game, that's great."
Marbury, who said he was working out and training in Los Angeles, said another team already has expressed interest in his services should he and the Knicks reach an agreement for his exit.
"All I've got to do is get free," Marbury said. "Once I get free, the team I'm going to go to, I think a lot of people will be shocked."
At the same time, Marbury did not show any impatience at the lack of progress in negotiations. According to Newsday, Marbury said he told Hal Biagas, his NBA players association representative during the Knicks buyout talks, to not "even worry about it."
"Let them do what they're going to do and make a decision when they're ready to make a decision," Marbury said, according to Newsday.
Forward Quentin Richardson, who was one of the first Knicks to criticize Marbury on the record, did not seem perturbed by Marbury's unexpected and surreal presence at the game.
"Am I surprised or puzzled? I don't really think much about it, man," Richardson said, according to The New York Times. "My thing is, we were here playing the Lakers. I guess he was a face in the crowd. I didn't know he was there.
"I hope he enjoyed it," he added. "It was a good game."

Lil wayne faces copyright lawsuit

Lawyers for rapper Lil Wayne are seeking more time to turn over documents in response to a lawsuit that accuses the award-winning recording artist of copyright infringement.
A federal lawsuit filed in May claims Lil Wayne didn't have permission to sample a song by singer Karma-Ann Swanepoel.
The suit says Lil Wayne's record label, Cash Money Records, tried but failed to negotiate a license to use Swanepoel's song "Once" before millions of people downloaded the rapper's song "I Feel Like Dying."
A court filing Tuesday by Lil Wayne's attorneys asks a judge in New Orleans to extend a Friday deadline for turning over documents requested by lawyers for the company that published Swanepoel's song.
Lil wayne was also recently sued sued by a music publishing company that owns the rights to the Rolling Stones song "Play with Fire." Abkco Music Inc. claimed that Wayne released an alternate version of the song -- that they're calling "explicit, sexist and offensive" -- without permission. The link to the song is below.

Michael Vick Goes back to Court
Lawyers for former NFL star Michael Vick and his creditors have another date in federal bankruptcy court in Virginia.Vick's disclosure statement is the subject of Tuesday's hearing in Norfolk. A committee of the suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback's major creditors has objected to the statement.
The document says Vick plans to resume his NFL career after he is released from federal prison, where he is serving 23 months for bankrolling a dogfighting ring. But the creditors say Vick provides no assurance that his goal is realistic.
They also say the statement fails to account for millions in spending and transfers over. Many wonder where Vicks money went, but there are further details below.
Charles Reamon, a former personal friend and assistant is now listed as one of several potential defendants in lawsuits Vick is considering filing, alleging mismanagement of his money.
Among the others are former financial advisers Mary Wong and David Talbot. Wong was recommended to Vick by former teammate Demorrio Williams. Vick's lawyers said they now believe Wong owes him at least $625,000.
Vick later hired Talbot but fired him after he was charged with securities fraud in New Jersey. Talbot has returned an $80,000 Mercedes that Vick gave him as payment but still could face suit for "breach of fiduciary duty and conversion," according to Vick's financial disclosure statement.
"Mary Wong categorically denies that she has ever wrongfully taken one penny from Michael Vick," said Wong's attorney, James Mitchell of Omaha. Any suggestion to the contrary is "unbelievably outrageous," he said.
Mitchell said Wong did not charge for her services. Wong already has accounted for some of the funds entrusted to her by Vick while holding power of attorney and is in the process of accounting for the rest, Mitchell said.

Mike Jones talks new album and cognac

Houston rapper Mike Jones has announced a new venture with ProConcept Marketing Group, Inc to endorse an exclusive new line of Cognac liquor from the “House of Dobbe’.”
Jones and ProConcept will together strategize promotional events and concert tours in major markets to promote the product.
Currently, both parties are planning a special Super Bowl event to dually promote Mike Jones’ new album and the Cognac line.
According to Dobbe’ CEO Joel Stohlman, partnering with Jones gives both entities visibility in markets they normally wouldn’t reach.
“We are excited that this particular product. The line of Dobbe’ cognac is a perfect fit for Mike Jones,” Stohlman told AllHipHop.com. “He is a terrific self-promoter and will do whatever is required to make this product launch is a success. We will give him the support he needs throughout the U.S., and continue marketing and promoting the products in conjunction with the record launch.”
Mike Jones’ burst on the national Hip-Hop scene with his 2005, platinum debut Who Is Mike Jones?.
Cognizant of the industry sales plummet in the years since his album, Jones explained that brand partnerships are essential in keeping artists visible at a time when promotional funds are limited.
"This opportunity could not have come at a better time, with the launch of my new single,” Jones detailed to AllHipHop.com. “I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to do what I love; produce hot music and engage in business opportunities. The story of this product fits my life. I had to work extremely hard to be a success in the music industry, and will give the same level of commitment to House of Dobbe’.”
Mike Jones’ sophomore LP, Voice of the Streets, is due out in February 2009.
At press time the album features Lil Wayne, Akon, Twista, Mya, Plies, T.I., and Bobby Brown.

Iraqi reporter throws shoes at George Bush

While giving a speech in Iraq, an irate reporter, threw his shoes at George Bush. While this may be funny to most people, I looked at this from a different angle. The President is suppose to be so well protected, but somebody was able to get that close to them. The incident with Bush, is just a stark reminder that people with evil intentions come in all shapes and forms. Click on the link below, to watch the video.

RUMOR: T-pain vs Plies.... Beef!

There is a an alleged beef on the horizon with Plies and T-Pain. Plies was supposed to perform at the Jingle Jam 08, but T-Pain reportedly said he would leave if Plies went on before him. Then, T.I said he would bring out Plies , but Plies left the building without getting on stage. Once again, this is a just a rumor, but it comes from very strong sources. Let's hope these two Florida hip hop giants can put their alleged differences aside and continue to make good music for their fans
NBA Star diagnosed with heart disease........forced to retire

New York Knicks guard Cuttino Mobley retired from the NBA on Thursday because of heart disease that he said has gotten worse.
Mobley said doctors told him he faced significant risks if he kept playing. The 11-year veteran said by walking away now, he could live a long life.Mobley, 33, announced his decision at a news conference at the Knicks' training center, where he confirmed he has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The condition causes the heart muscle to thicken, making it harder to pump blood, and he said he had no choice but to end his career.
"The specialists I've seen made it clear that my heart condition has gotten worse and I couldn't continue to play professional basketball without putting my health and life in serious danger," Mobley said. "As much as I want to keep playing in the NBA, I have no choice but to follow the advice of my doctors and step away from the league."
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in people under 30 years old and was linked to the deaths of former Boston Celtics forward Reggie Lewis and Loyola Marymount star Hank Gathers.
The Knicks acquired Mobley last month from the Los Angeles Clippers -- a trade that may ultimately have saved his life. An EKG during his physical showed an irregularity with the heart, which Mobley already knew existed. The Knicks decided to perform an MRI exam, which revealed the more serious condition that previously had gone undetected.
Mobley then saw four specialists around the country, who performed additional tests and provided him literature about the disease that convinced him to stop playing.
"The doctors said to not chance it and I feel as though they're right, having an 8-year old son, having a long life ahead of me, it's the smart thing," Mobley said. "It's a tough thing to swallow, but things in life happen, but you have to keep going."
Mobley averaged 16.0 points in 11 seasons with the Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic, Sacramento Kings and Clippers. He was expected to become the Knicks' starting shooting guard after the Nov. 21 trade.
The Knicks could have voided the deal because of the health concerns but waived the physical requirement because the trade allowed them to move Zach Randolph's contract, freeing salary cap space for the summer of 2010.
"I thought this would be the perfect trade with him in it, but I would never put a player out there that's at the risk that he would be at," Knicks president Donnie Walsh said.
"None of this is as important as somebody's life. None of it. Period," Walsh said. "So I'm glad that we had a doctor that put him through tests that showed it, because the risk was there."
Walsh said he wasn't sure yet what options the Knicks had to fill the vacant roster spot and would begin researching it Friday.
Mobley said he'd thought about the scene of Gathers collapsing on the court during a game and said it factored into his decision.
"Say if you were to play, the worry, the worrisome of people watching you, if you were to fall, or it's just an elbow or just an ankle, that's scary. And then every single day just being scared for you, I think that's a selfish thing, also," he said. "Even though you love something so much, and I am in love with basketball, but sometimes you have to get a divorce."

The accolades keep coming for Chris Brown — this time, he’s been named Billboard’s top artist of 2008.
“It’s bigger than what I can ever imagine. It’s unexpected totally, so it’s a surprise,” Brown said in an interview Thursday.
It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise for Brown. He not only nabbed the Billboard honor in 2006, he had a great ‘08, with solo hits like “With You” and “Forever” as well as successful collaborations, like the Jordin Sparks duet “No Air.” Last month, he won three awards at the American Music Awards, including artist of the year.
But the 19-year-old Brown says he’s still not used to all the accolades.
“I’ve had a good year but I still feel like a little insecure in those parts. I’m like, ‘There’s little ol’ me getting an award’ — that’s incredible,” he said.
The artist’s rankings are determined by album sales as well as digital downloads, radio airplay and Internet streams. The No. 2 artist was Lil Wayne, who had a huge year thanks to hits like “A Milli” and “Lollipop”; No. 3 on the list was Rihanna, whose hits included “Take A Bow” and “Disturbia,” which was co-written by boyfriend Brown.
Rounding out the top five were Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift.
Billboard named Flo Rida’s “Low” as the year’s top song, followed by Leona Lewis “Bleeding Love,” Alicia Keys’ “No One,” Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop” and “Apologize” by Timbaland featuring OneRepublic. Brown had three songs in the top 10: “With You,” “Forever” and “No Air” with Sparks.

T.I. talks about Future Plans.

T.I. has had a successful year but one also filled with a variety of obstacles. 2008, which saw the Atlanta emcee drop a platinum album, endure another public beef with Shawty Lo, face federal charges, and welcome a new baby boy, will be followed by a trying 2009. T.I. may have to serve time in jail in March. Regardless of the impending time to be served, T.I. is optimistic about his plans and how he will remain relevant, while serving his federal bid.
"Presumably, while I'm there, I'll be able to strategize my comeback," he said in a recent MTV interview. "All those days will be spent speaking to people who are interested in being in the T.I. business. Preparing myself for the days those doors open, when I put my feet back on the ground of the free world. It's just months of planning. It's just a long time to roll the project out. I ain't gonna just be sitting still doing nothing. The wheels will be turning, just the car ain't going nowhere."
This has not stopped him from working on a new album and a new movie.
"The film I'm producing over at New Line, For Sale, we're trying to put that together, and hopefully we'll be able to do that before March. We're getting offers every day, checking on our availability, on whether or not we'll be able to take advantage of certain opportunities, film-wise."For Sale isn't the only movie set to be released with T.I. on the screen. Bone Deep will also be hitting theaters soon. Expect that film to be released in 2010, featuring Matt Dillon, Chris Brown and others.
T.I. is just one of the many successful artists that is using the same blueprint for success. Make a name for yourself through the avenue of music and then use that notoriety to expand your horizons to bigger endeavors. This man was convicted of his crimes, but we wish him luck in serving his time and with all of his future moves.
Jadakiss joins Beanie Sigel on stage

The Lox’s Jadakiss will join Sigel and other Philadelphia rappers on stage during the concert, which is being presented by Sigel and Nike ACG. Sigel and Jadakiss engaged in an infamous feud that started after Jadakiss accused Philadelphia rappers of stealing his style in published interviews in 2001. Jadakiss, who claimed his words were misquoted, was still on the receiving end of a mixtape diss from Sigel. As a result, both sides released diss records aptly titled "F**k Beanie Sigel" by Jadakiss and "F**k Jadakiss" by Beanie Sigel. After numerous radio, mixtape and disses on albums, the beef between Sigel along with State Property versus Jadakiss and D-Block teetered on the edge of violence. The climax came when Jadakiss appeared at a concert in Philadelphia and berated Sigel in his hometown. Around this time, Jadakiss’ battle with 50 Cent and G-Unit, as well as a host of legal problems for Sigel helped cool the beef. The pair eventually patched up their relationship and even recorded the “Roc Boys” remix with Roc-A-Fella boss Jay-Z. Sigel’s “Brotherly Love Concert” is his latest attempt to end old beefs and promote unity in Philadelphia, a city known for its in-fighting amongst various rappers. Gillie Da Kid was unable to keep a commitment to the concert because he is shooting The King of the Avenue with actor Ving Rhames in Puerto Rico. Other performers confirmed to take the stage include Freeway, E-Ness, and local artist Reed Dollas, Joey Jahad, and Voka

DMX arrested..........Again!

Rapper DMX has been arrested yet again. The multiplatinum rapper was arrested at the home of Scott Storch. It has truly been a rough year for rapper DMX, real name Earl Simmons. This was his 8th arrest of the year. A warrant had been issued for the arrest or information leading to the arrest of DMX. The warrant was issued due to the fact that DMX missed a court date on December 5th, due to "medical issues". DMX was suppose to appear after being charged with 11 counts of drug possession and seven counts of animal cruelty.
According to TMZ, the rapper was tipped off by a Georgia woman who had heard about a $5,000 reward for info leading to the whereabouts of the former Ruff Ryders star. The Palm Island home happened to be the one foreclosed on in July, after producer Scott Storch wasn’t able to make payments. It is unknown whether or not Storch was around when DMX was caught and arrested. Stay tuned for more updates

Killer Mike links up with T.I. and Grand Hustle
While Killer Mike has confirmed that he is in the final stages of negotiating a partnership between his Grind Time imprint and T.I.’s Atlanta-based Grand Hustle Entertainment, he wants to reassure fans that this is by no means a sign that he has abandoned the independent scene.
On the contrary, he expects his new situation, which should be finalized in early 2009, to make him a greater asset to thriving Atlanta scene, which has supported him over the years.
Killer Mike’s confirmation comes just days after T.I. shared the pending agreement with MTV.
Though the full details are still being ironed out, Mike explained that the new arrangement, which he sees as a direct result of his close relationship with T.I. and the work he has put in since going independent in 2007, puts him in the best position to further his career ambitions.
“I’ve worked very hard at making sure that I was able to not only live off the independent scene, but become a force in the independent rap music scene,” Killer Mike told AllHipHop.com. “Tip is encouraging me to be a business man, and he’s encouraging the efforts I’ve already put forth. This is an industry of slaves and sharecroppers. And most people just try to either enslave you or make you a sharecropper. And sharecropping, it ain’t perfect, but it’s a lot more noble than slavery. I’ll be happy to work the whole field as long as I can own a small piece or make a profit.
“Tip has been in the exact position I am in,” added Mike. “One of the most distinct memories I have of him is me and him in an Escalade. And he was like, at the time Bad Boy wanted him and Atlantic wanted him. But Atlantic gave him the opportunity to not only be a huge star, which Bad Boy would have done, but also to be a businessman. And Tip is giving me the same opportunity. Not many people have their ego in check enough to offer you that kind of opportunity.”
The offer presented by Grand Hustle as it stands extends solely to Killer Mike as a Grind Time artist.
The first project to be released through the new deal will be the highly anticipated 16 In The Kitchen, which Mike has always promised would stand apart from the various recordings he has presented to fans, since his departure from Big Boi’s Purple Ribbon label nearly two years ago.
“The goal of any business is to get the business to a good point to sell it,” Mike explained. “One of the smaller goals before that is to be able to expand. What Grind Time is gonna be able to do brand-wise and me as an artist is gonna grow by leaps and bounds, just by me being associated with Grand Hustle and Tip. But not only because of his name but because of the work that we put in and the tools I’ll now have in place.”
Killer Mike is also working on two compilation projects: Underground Atlanta, rumored to feature buzzworthy artists like OJ Da Juiceman, former BME artists Princess and Bohagon and Yung Ralph; and the forthcoming Skulls and Roses, which will bring together street-influenced R&B artists and the rappers who relate similar tales.
Both projects will be released through Grind Time’s current partnership with SMC Recordings and Fontana Distribution.
First up will be Underground Atlanta, due out in March 2009.
Reluctant to deem himself the leader of the Underground Atlanta movement, or even to call the group of artists he’s been working with a movement per se, Killer Mike does want to open the world’s eyes to what Atlanta natives have to offer.
“Atlanta has a very eclectic ear,” Killer Mike said. “I don’t want people to get my city misconstrued. I want to be a catalyst for that music to keep coming out in an organized way. I’d like to give this music its proper shine. I ain’t cute as Tip or as wavy as Max B. I don’t have the swagger of Jim Jones. I don’t have the cool of Jay-Z or the weird loveable-ness of Dre or Wayne, but I think that people sense a certain realness about me and a certain integrity and I think people relate.”

Jesse Jackson Jr. named in Blagojevich probe
U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is “Senate Candidate 5,” whom Gov. Blagojevich was considering appointing as Barack Obama’s replacement in the U.S. Senate under the belief the governor would get at least $1 million in campaign contributions, sources tell the Chicago Sun-Times.

The alleged deal was caught on a wiretap secretly planted by the feds.
“In a recorded conversation on October 31, 2008, Rod Blagojevich described an earlier approach by an associate of Senate Candidate Five as follows: ‘We were approached “pay to play.” That, you know, he’d raise me 500 grand. An emissary came. Then the other guy would raise a million, if I made him (Senate Candidate 5) a senator,” the affidavit accompanying Blagojevich's criminal complaint states.
Speculation has circulated that Jackson is Senate Candidate 5 since the complaint was released Tuesday. Jackson, who has aggressively campaigned for the Senate seat, told ABC news that he has not “been informed” by federal prosecutors that he is Senate Candidate 5.
Jackson said he is “not a target” of any probe, but the U.S. attorney’s office in Chicago has sought to interview him.
“I would like to do that as quickly as possible,” Jackson said.
In a statement last night, Jackson said, “I reject and denounce pay-to-play politics and have no involvement whatsoever in any wrongdoing.”

In a statement last night, Jackson said, “I reject and denounce pay-to-play politics and have no involvement whatsoever in any wrongdoing.”
Obama calls for resignation of Illinois Governor
President-elect Barack Obama called for Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich to resign on Wednesday, hours after the embattled governor reported for work amid charges he plotted to sell Obama's vacant Senate seat.
Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said the president-elect agrees with other prominent politicians in Illinois and elsewhere that "under the current circumstances, it is difficult for the governor to effectively do his job and serve the people of Illinois."

Blagojevich was arrested Tuesday, accused of scheming to enrich himself by selling Obama's open seat for cash or a lucrative job for himself. The governor has authority to appoint the replacement.
In response to questions from The Associated Press, Gibbs said Obama believes the Illinois legislature should consider a special election to fill the seat.
Blagojevich is out on bond and has denied any wrongdoing.
The governor left his home on Chicago's North Side early Wednesday and waved to the media before quickly getting into a dark SUV without talking to reporters.
A short time later, Blagojevich's SUV arrived at his office.
"He is still the sitting governor of Illinois today, now, and that is not something we have any say in or control of," U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald said in unveiling corruption charges on Tuesday against the 52-year-old governor.
The governor's attorney, Sheldon Sorosky, said Tuesday he didn't know of any immediate plans for the governor to resign. Blagojevich believes he didn't do anything wrong and asks Illinois residents to have faith in him, Sorosky said.
"I suppose we will have to go to trial," he said.
Blagojevich could still appoint someone to fill Obama's seat despite the charges that he tried to barter it away for cash or a plum job in what Fitzgerald called "a political corruption crime spree."
But it would take a lot of nerve and Blagojevich would have to hurry because state lawmakers are racing to snatch away his power to appoint a new senator and put it in the hands of voters.
"No appointment by this governor, under these circumstances, could produce a credible replacement," U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin said Tuesday after the governor, a second-term Democrat, was arrested on charges of conspiring to commit fraud and soliciting bribery.
Until state lawmakers call a special election, though, Blagojevich still has the power to fill the Senate seat left vacant by President-elect Obama.
Obama was not accused of any wrongdoing.
"I had no contact with the governor or his office, and so we were not -- I was not aware of what was happening," Obama said. "And as I said, it's a sad day for Illinois. Beyond that, I don't think it's appropriate to comment."
Prosecutors stepped in and had the governor arrested because he was on "what can only be called a political corruption crime spree," Fitzgerald said.
Speaker Michael Madigan, D-Chicago, said he is prepared to call the Illinois House into session as early as Monday to set a special election to fill the seat. Illinois Senate President Emil Jones said he had something similar in mind.
In Washington, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., made it plain he didn't want to seat anyone under such a cloud, saying the charges "are appalling and represent as serious a breach of the public trust as I have ever heard."
Charged along with Blagojevich was his 46-year-old chief of staff, John Harris, who was accused of taking part in the schemes to enrich the governor.
The FBI said in court papers that Blagojevich was overheard conspiring to sell the Senate seat for campaign cash or lucrative jobs for himself or his wife, a real estate agent. He spoke of using the Senate appointment to land a job with a nonprofit foundation or a union-affiliated group, and even held out hope of getting named Obama's secretary of health and human services or an ambassador.
According to court papers, the governor tried to make it known through emissaries, including union officials and fundraisers, that the seat could be had for the right price. Blagojevich allegedly had a salary in mind -- $250,000 to $300,000 a year -- and spoke of collecting half-million and million-dollar political contributions.
"I've got this thing and it's (expletive) golden," prosecutors quoted Blagojevich as saying about the Senate appointment on federal bugs in his campaign office and wiretaps on his home telephone, "and I'm just not giving it up for (expletive) nothing. I'm not gonna do it."
Besides scheming to swap or sell the Senate seat, Blagojevich -- a former congressman, state lawmaker and prosecutor -- was accused of trying to strong-arm the Chicago Tribune into firing editorial writers who had called for his impeachment.
Blagojevich was charged with two counts: conspiracy to commit fraud, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, and solicitation to commit bribery, which is punishable by up 10 years. He was released on his own recognizance following an afternoon hearing.
Blagojevich becomes the latest in a long line of Illinois governors to become engulfed in scandal. He was elected in 2002 as a reformer promising to clean up after Gov. George Ryan, who is serving six years in prison for graft. He was re-elected to another four-year term in 2006.

Common, 'Universal Mind Control' (G.O.O.D. Music/Geffen)

On his eighth album, Common turns back the hip-hop clock to the days of electro, teaming up with Pharrell Williams. On the frantic, Roland 808–charged title track, the Windy City MC plays the streetwise machine man, with lyrics ("Chicks exotic, mix hypnotic / Superhero boy, I'm bionic") that read like cut-ups of novels by cyberpunk pioneer William Gibson.
The rockin'-no-stoppin' continues on the Kanye West–guesting "Punch Love," which conjures futuristic gator-shoed players, and the compelling Prince-ness of "Sex for Suga." Though there's one serious misstep -- the pro-Obama ditty "Changes," which mimics '60s psychedelia and is about as soulful as Donovan's greatest hits -- Common dazzles with the back-to-the-future motif on "What a World," an homage to the Bernard Edwards bass line that was the funky foundation for Chic's "Good Times," Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight," and Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust." The track vibrantly mashes up all three songs to create a singular gem.
While we're used to Common in the role of poetic prophet or self-righteous rhyme slayer, Universal Mind Control is primarily a rhythmic celebration, paying tribute to Afrika Bambaataa and Jonzun Crew jams. Quixotically, in this heated political year, he's reserved his strongest endorsement for the Cyborg Party.

Fantasia's house in foreclosure

One of two Charlotte homes owned by former American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino is in foreclosure, according to Us Magazine.
The national entertainment magazine is reporting this week that Barrino's $1.3 million home on Bevington Place, off Elm Lane in southeast Charlotte, will be auctioned off Jan. 12, if mortgage payments are not made.
Her other home, on Seton House Lane off Piper Glen Drive in southeast Charlotte, is not in financial trouble, the magazine is reporting.
Barrino, who won the American Idol title in 2004, the show's third season, is a High Point native who attended East Mecklenburg High School and settled in Charlotte. She has been nominated eight times for Grammy awards, has recorded two successful albums and is working on a third album scheduled for release in early 2009.
She also had a successful role in the Broadway musical version of "The Color Purple" and is scheduled to appear in a movie version of the musical.
The home in financial trouble has 6,232 heated square feet, five bedrooms and 5 1/2 baths, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg tax records. The home was bought in March 2007.
Barrino, 24, bought the home on Seton House Lane in August 2004, a few months after being crowned American Idol, for $740,000. That home has four bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, and 4,572 heated square feet.

Akon 'fan tossing' trial postponed

The trial of Akon, which was scheduled to begin yesterday (December 1) in Fishkill, NY, has been postponed until December 17.
The rapper will have to face criminal charges in a trial stemming from an incident in which he allegedly tossed a fan off a stage at a show last year. The boy had apparently heckled him during a performance when Akon had him pulled onstage by security.
The singer then reportedly hoisted the boy onto his shoulders and threw him into the crowd, where he landed on another concertgoer, who said she suffered a concussion.
He has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment.

Andre 3000 sued over Class of 3000 series

A new lawsuit filed in a Boston courtroom claims that the Andre 3000-created Cartoon Network series Class of 3000 was not as original as the rapper, or the network would have viewers believe, the Boston Herald reports.
Former art student Timothy McGee is suing the Outkast star, as well as Cartoon Network and its parent company Turner Broadcasting for $2 million in damages, citing copyright infringement, breach of contract and misappropriation of trade secrets in the creation of the award winning show.
He is requesting compensation in the form of all the profits from the show, as well as court fees and any other payment the courts may see fit.
“We’ve requested $2 million in damages thus far,” said McGee’s attorney Jerrold Neeff. “The rest remains to be seen.”
According to 33-year-old McGee, in 1997 he submitted a show idea to then Cartoon Network vice president of programming Michael Lazzo about a show following the lives of a group of young musicians, “as they try to break into Atlanta’s burgeoning music scene.”
At issue for McGee, the lawsuit says, is the impression that the “characters, artwork, storylines and concepts” he developed for his show were heavily borrowed upon for Dre’s show, which aired from November 2006 to May 2008.
McGee’s show, for which he proposed Babyface as the young musicians’ mentor, included “a young corporate type” who aspired to be a music producer, a “tough full-of-attitude female executive, a young techno-whiz sound engineer, a talented young Asian singer and a central energetic young singer/rapper,” the suit explains.
Class of 3000 featured Dre as Sunny Bridges, a musical genius who left his hometown of Atlanta to pursue a recording career, only to return after experiencing the corruption of the business.
Sunny becomes the new music teacher at the Westley School of Performing arts where his students include an would-be music producer, a “tough, brash full-of-attitude” female student who plays the harp and guitar, a “technological genius bass player, and talented twins of Asian ethnicity,” McGee’s lawsuit said.
“The artist known as Andre ‘3000’ Benjamin was credited with the creation, executive production and starring role in ‘Class of 3000,’” the suit continued. “The similarities between the expression of Mr. McGee’s work in ‘The Music Factory’ and that of ‘Class of 3000’ are sufficiently detailed and pervasive.
The show’s co-creators and developers, Thomas W. Lynch and Patric M. Verrone, don’t seem to have been named as co-defendants.
Class of 3000 was cancelled in December 2007 due to budgetary constraints.
